Description

The K2E1-IP board interconnects traditional telephony systems and IP-enabled telephony networks, supplying two T1/E1 links with a 60 IP channel gateway. The T1/E1 link signaling and protocols are handled within the board firmware. The K2E1-IP has 60 MFC signal exchanger resources which make it ideal for critical applications having characteristics of “high traffic” and “avalanche” calls. Echo cancellers eliminate echo from the telephony network, guaranteeing echo-free audio on calls established via network IP. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is the working protocol for IP calls. The connection to the Ethernet is made through the host computer network interface card.

Khomp offers the K2E1-IP in two models; PCI and PCI-Express. The PCI-Express model has DMA technology, which reduces CPU consumption, allowing increased density per server.
