New Mobile Intercom 101 with RFID includes MIFARE reader and anti-cloning encryption

MIFARE reader at Khomp Mobile Intercom

In order to offer a stand-alone access feature to the end consumer, Khomp has announced a new version of the Mobile Intercom 101 electronic doorman. Complementing the existing remote GSM access feature, this innovation includes RFID technology and the MIFARE 13.56 MHz reader, strengthened by authentication and encryption code developed by Khomp.

“Our goal is to develop a technology that will make it even more difficult to clone tags, which is an issue we have been facing increasingly often. This way, we can deliver a product that will ensure more safety for the final consumer,” explains Sandro Kischner, IoT Product Development Unit Manager at Khomp.

The Mobile Intercom 101R allows you to configure up to 23 access tags (MIFARE DESfire EV1 13.56 MHz), and five of them come included with the purchase of the initial kit.

For those who are interested in the benefits and the performance of this new Mobile Intercom version for existing totems and panels, such as access control devices for opening doors and gates, mechanisms to control the consumption of items and products in commercial establishments, and inventory tracking systems, Khomp has also launched the KRFID kit.

This kit consists of the MIFARE 13.56 MHz reader with a private authentication mechanism, one serial cable and a set of five tags.

About the Mobile Intercom 101

As part of the Khomp Endpoint family, the Mobile Intercom 101 is a GSM device with built-in intelligence that offers agility, security, and autonomy. It functions as an electronic doorman, using the GSM cellular telephone network for communication.

It has an efficient hands-free function and includes a dry contact relay that allows you to open a door remotely, even when you do not have a person dedicated to this task. This makes it an excellent option for places such as houses, offices, multi-family systems in buildings, closed communities and condominiums. It needs to have an internal SIM Card installed to establish the connection between the electronic doorman location and a cell phone previously registered in the system.
